Kling 2.6 Motion Control:move any character with a video

Upload a still of your character and a clip of the movement you want. The model performs that movement as your character, up to 30 seconds, at 720p or 1080p. Add both files in the composer below.

What Kling 2.6 Motion Control accepts and returns

Straight answers

Before you upload

The four things people ask first about a motion-control model they have not used yet.

01

Is Kling 2.6 Motion Control free here?

No. It needs a paid plan or a credit pack that includes the Kling models, and each run is metered in credits. The free plan includes Seedance 2.0 Mini instead.

02

What exactly do I upload?

A still of the character you want to see, and a video of someone doing the movement. Both are required; the generate button stays blocked until both are attached.

03

How long can the result be?

It follows your motion video. With Character Orientation set to image the clip can be 3 to 10 seconds; set to video it can be 3 to 30 seconds. Very fast or complex motion can come back a little shorter than the source.

04

What does one clip cost?

A 10-second motion video at 720p is 20 credits at the base rate, and 32 credits at 1080p. The composer shows the exact amount for your plan before you submit, and failed generations are not charged.

Workflow

From a still and a clip to a moving character

Two files, one setting, an optional prompt. The composer will not submit until both files are attached.

  1. 01

    Pick the model

Open the composer on this page or the full generator and choose Kling 2.6 Motion Control from the Kling group in the model menu.

  2. 02

    Add the character image

Use a sharp still where the upper body or full body is visible and not cropped at the joints that will move.

  3. 03

Add the motion video and set orientation

Attach the clip with the movement, then set Character Orientation to image for a front-facing performance or to video when the subject turns.

  4. 04

    Add details, pick quality, submit

Optionally describe clothing, setting or camera, choose 720p or 1080p, check the credit quote, and submit.

Where it fits

Jobs motion control is built for

Anything where the movement already exists on video and the person performing it should be someone else.

01

Dance and trend clips

Take a choreography you filmed or licensed and have your own character perform it beat for beat.

02

Mascots and brand characters

Give an illustrated or rendered character the gestures of a real performer without animating it by hand.

03

Presenter gestures

Record yourself pointing, waving or explaining, then move a presenter image with exactly those gestures.

04

Blocking tests

Act out a scene on your phone and see it played by the final character before committing to a full production.

01

Testing on the free plan

Kling 2.6 Motion Control needs a paid plan. Seedance 2.0 Mini is included on the free plan and accepts a reference clip at up to 720p.

02

A new performance from a prompt

When you have no motion video, Seedance 2.5 writes the movement from text and references, runs up to 30 seconds, and can edit or extend a finished clip.

03

Restyling the whole clip

If you want to keep the video and change its look, rather than move a different character, Seedance 2.0 re-renders a scene from reference clips and images.

FAQ

Kling 2.6 Motion Control questions

Orientation, sound, good reference clips, and how this platform relates to Kuaishou.

It is the motion-control model in Kuaishou’s Kling 2.6 generation. You give it a character image and a reference video, and it produces a video of that character performing the movement from the reference.

In this generator both take the same inputs and have the same length limits. Kling 2.6 Motion Control costs less per second; Kling 3.0 Motion Control is the newer generation. Running the same pair of files through both is the quickest way to see which result you prefer.

image keeps the direction your character faces in the still and suits front-facing performances; the motion video can be up to 10 seconds. video lets the character turn with the reference and suits full-body movement; the motion video can be up to 30 seconds.

It carries the original sound of your motion video. The model does not create new audio, so if the reference is silent, the result is silent too.

One continuous shot with no cuts, a single performer who stays fully in frame, and movement that is clear rather than blurred. Fast spins and scene changes are where results degrade first.

No. SeedVideo AI is an independent platform that runs the Kling models through an upstream API, and it is not operated by, endorsed by or affiliated with Kuaishou or Kling AI. The official Kling links on this page point to Kuaishou’s own pages.
